Will There Ever Be a Cure for AIDS

TRUE INSPIRATIONS

While the current medical research for a cure for AIDS might look promising, I don’t believe that there could ever be a cure for AIDS. It is true that current treatments for HIV and AIDS can keep a person infected with HIV or AIDS alive for longer periods of time, for a substantial cost per person per month.  But with the pharmaceutical companies making billions of dollars on AIDS medications, they would never allow a cure for AIDS.  Over the course of the next century, this number will most definitely increase to trillions of dollars spent on AIDS medications. If you ask me, I believe that a cure already exists. However, if they were to release a cure for HIV and AIDS, the pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, nursing homes, home health care agencies, and HIV clinics would most definitely go bankrupt.

So will there ever be a cure for AIDS? I believe the answer is most likely not in this lifetime; Because HIV and AIDS treatment is a multi-billion dollar industry. If they were to release a cure for AIDS there would be millions of people out of jobs and the economy would hit an all-time low, since the Great Depression. Therefore, economically it would be impossible to release a cure for AIDS.

There is currently not even a vaccine for AIDS, so a cure wouldn’t even be in the picture. AIDS is a virus and unlike a bacterial infection, it cannot be cured with antibiotics. In the early days of AIDS, the disease was seen as a death sentence; these days, however most health care providers call it a chronic life-long condition. That change came about as a result of the creation of medications that can control the spread of the virus and can treat the symptoms it causes.

But if there was a cure released then the whole country would go bankrupt and there would be total chaos in the economy. So to save the economic status of the world from being crushed there could never be a cure for AIDS.

In conclusion, I really don’t believe that there will ever be a cure for HIV or AIDS because it is an incurable disease. And if there is a cure we would never see it because it would be devastating to the economic status of pharmaceutical companies and other health care organizations. Including but not limited to hospitals, clinics, home health care agencies, nursing homes, etc. Also, HIV is a virus and there is not currently nor ever will be a cure for a virus. So I don’t believe that there will ever be a cure for AIDS.

In all honesty, I believe there are a lot of cures for many of the deadly diseases that are swarming around. But I also believe that people are so corrupt as to not release it because of the reasons you mention. You would think people would be humanitarian, but money and greed do evil things to people.

I really appriciate your comment and yes I DO BELIEVE that there are cures for many of the diseases out there but because of the money the pharmacutial companies would lose they are just not being offered, its a damn crying shame that these people care more about money than the human life. But as they have always said "Money is the root of all evil."
